While dealing with allergies, I was having a set a strange test results. The ENT sent me to him. He played detective and eventually discovered I had Hep C. I may have had it for many, many years. The internist I used for annual physicals, my gyno and a few others had never looked. There is no way to know how much damage to my body would have occurred without his persistence and care.
