I found Dr. Ballard and his staff to be professional, courteous, and truthful. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a new knee. My left knee was done 5 years ago and I had no hesitation returning to have Dr. BAllard do the right knee in 2018.
Dr Ballard gave me a great feel of confidence in him and his abilities that I wasn't scared to have my hip replacement. Before talking with him I swore I wasn't having it done...but he convinced me how much better I would feel. I am so glad I had it done. I am back to doing everything...Yea!
Dr Ballard had made this tough surgery and follow up manipulation as good as it could possibly be. He gives clear instruction and explanation. He is compassionate and caring. I have 100 percent trust in his decisions and skill level.
Dr. Ballard and his staff are one of a kind, first class, top rate. The best thing I ever did was to seek him out and have the privledge of calling him my surgeon. The first surgeon I saw for a consultation left me feeling hopeless and sad. But after consulting with Dr. Ballard he explained and gave me a path on what I needed to do make my hip replacement and recovery everything I wanted the rest of my life to be. I cannot thank you enough for helping me to give me back my life. Forty Nine was too young to live the life I was going to before my hip replacement.
Very nice. Felt the pain meds were over prescribed. At first. Taking Tylenol, ibuprofen, Hydrocodone every 4 hrs was overkill. My primary care and PT both commented on it. My primary care backed me down off of most of it. When I complained to the PA about the dosage he said 'well you do not have to take all of that'. This office had upped the dosage of the hydrocodene from 5mg to 10mg. Way too much. After getting off all this stuff I did much better and kept the pain under control. Used Vicodene but a smaller dose.
