Dr. McGowan is awesome and great to work with. This was my 2nd Colonoscopy in 2 years and I have already recommended him to my family and friends. He explains everything in detail you need to know and I find honesty is best quality. It's not everyday you actually have a doctor with a sense of humor :-) 2 Thumbs up!

At my initial office visit, Dr. McGowan was very friendly, professional and attentive to my health history and immediate needs. During my procedures, the entire team was very kind and efficient from the receptionist to the nurses, the anethesiologist and once again Dr. McGowan. I would not hesitate to repeat my procedures in the future with Dr. McGowan and the team that took great care of me.

Very efficient and professional. Given courteous handling throughout the process with ample opportunity for questions. The whole experience at the procedure was excellent. My only suggestion would be to email / robocall a day or two before to confirm the location. I had misplaced the paperwork, so called over the weekend to find location of my Monday morning procedure. The answering service said 1000 Crescent Green in Cary. I checked online and it was Cary Gastroenterology and Dr. McGowan was listed, so I went there for the 7am check-in (for 8:30 procedure). The place was closed. I called the answering service again, and they said they do not have access to appointments, so did not know where I was supposed to be. Someone did open the office about 7:30, when I found out I was at the wrong place. But everything worked out ok. Would be good if answering service had appointment information to confirm location.

Very efficient and also very caring patient centered visit. I would highly recommend and hope to see Dr. McGowan next time I need a colonoscopy. Excellent bed side manner. Appreciated opportunity to ask questions and Get thoughtful answers. Good after care insructions. Helpful paperwork and Interesting photos. Thank you for kindness and consideration with every step of the process.
