Everyone was extremely helpful. My only complaint is that when I was given the needle for the anesthesia to flow it was very painful. First they tried twice in my hand which did not work 2x then another nurse put the needle in the vein in the middle of my arm again very painful. I have had many colonoscopies with an injection for anesthesia and never felt pain like this. Also I never felt a needle go into my body that felt like it was shoved in an inch this was.

Dr Galandauer is a very kind, knowledgable and compassionate doctor. He is calm and a good listener. I am happy is my doctor.

I recently had a colonoscopy at this practice in Florham Park. The pre-op nurse who started my IV was excellent, personable, and made an effort to make me feel comfortable. The anesthesiologist, ( a female, and I do not remember her name), and Dr Galandauer were both very professional, extremely competent, and answered any questions that I had., as did the nurse who was present for the colonoscopy. Unfortunately, the post-op nurse did not continue the professional experience. I do not remember her name, but she had a lovely head of grey hair. She failed to tell me her name, and failed to make eye contact, and proceeded to ask me a list of questions, all the while typing away at her computer. She was terse and unfriendly. Also, the nurse, or tech, who was in charge of my discharge to my husband, barely looked at me and did not tell me her name, and then proceeded to look at her phone for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, my husband texted me that he had been waiting on the 4th floor for about 15 minutes, and had notified a receptionist that he was here. I finally rose from my chair to let her know, and she said: 'Well is he on this floor.' Again, I stated that yes, he was outside in the waiting room. She did not bother to respond, but led me to the doors and out to where my husband was waiting. It is unfortunate that the 2 people who were unfriendly and unprofessional were the ones who concluded what was otherwise a positive experience.
