As I sit and write this review, I feel saddened by the fact that my husband, Larry, will soon be discharged from Kindred, a place that he and I felt safe and well cared for, for the past three months. When Larry first arrived at Kindred, we really didn't know if he would survive all the health issues he had, there were many to overcome, but within 3 days of being there, there was a plan put in place for his care and my concerns for his quality of care were finally being addressed. From that point on, the doctors, nurses, and staff became like family to both of us. I can't begin to express enough just how much I appreciate each and every one of you for the excellent care Larry has received and for the love and concern all of you have towards myself and Larry's family. Everyone has gone "over and above" to make sure Larry had the best possible care and that all his needs were met. When I left each day to go home, I would have peace of mind that he would be well taken care of and that means the world to me. I am so thankful that we chose Kindred for Larry's healthcare, I know I wouldn't have him here today if he would have been placed anywhere else. The doctors involved are all amazing, they worked so well together to turn a negative situation into a positive and I will be forever grateful to each and every one of them for working so hard to save his life. We encountered so many obstacles along our journey through these past 3 months but someway, somehow, we got over each hurdle and Larry is moving in the right direction. The nurses are my heroes, the wonderful care they gave Larry and the friendships I developed with them overtime is so precious to me. I can't thank them enough for all the kindness they have shown our family. The staff is like none I've ever encountered. They are simply "awesome" from the top down to housekeeping; they showed such compassion, care and concern, all of you have become family to Larry and I. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you all have done for us. We felt like we had a huge support system and many cheerleaders cheering on his progress. As we close this chapter of our lives ad begin a new journey, I want all of you to know I couldn't have done it without you, I feel we all walked this road together. Kindred Hospital is a wonderful facility, your motto of Hope, Healing, and Recovery is exactly what we received and Larry and I are living proof of that. Many, Many Thanks - Vicky Green
