I have had 5 surgeries on my ankle from a car accident in 2008, and the constant limping has caused my back to be out of alignment for quite some time. Several times a day for the past year I have been getting sharp, shooting pains in my lower left back when I step on my good foot. Sometimes I can't even lift my leg or change positions in bed because of the back pain. Lately I have been getting the pain at random times, such as when I'm just sitting in a chair or standing on both legs not doing anything. Because of the more frequent pains and because my job depends on my physical abilities, on my first day off from work in May 2011 I took the opportunity to find a chiropractor. I found Dr. Gappa online. When I called the office, the receptionist, Shannon, was very nice on the phone and was able to get me in to see Dr. Gappa right away. The location of the office is convenient and easy to find, as it is located in Brighton on the corner of 4th and Jessup. I arrived and was greeted by Shannon and other friendly staff members. I look very young and often get treated as though I am naive, so it was nice to go into a doctor's office and be treated as an equal and to make my own decisions (and not be pressured) about what kind of checks I want done on my body or what kind of treatments I want to try. This place is cool because it is actually family medicine combined with chiropractics, and the nurses look at all parts of your body during your first visit to see what might be affecting your back or other aspects of your health, and you only have to do one co-pay to see two different doctors, say, if you want to get a back adjustment and have a physical. I know there is also acupuncture available there too, which I've been wanting to try for my ankle pain, so it seems I can get all my issues solved at one location. Nurses named Andrea and Shelley have been consistently compassionate and friendly to me. They have both taken my blood, and it was quick, easy, and painless -- the best experiences I have had with needles (and I have had LOTS of experiences with needles since 2008). They always talk to me and make sure I am physically and emotionally comfortable. I also had a physical done by Anita, who was friendly and gentle too and made recommendations for what shots I should get or need not get. Dr. Gappa is also very easy to talk to. Upon meeting him I immediately was able to feel comfortable with him as my doctor and to feel confident in his knowledge. He explained to me what my back X-Rays showed and answered all my questions. The adjustments start off with little round pads on your back that send electric signals (strength of signals is your choice) to stimulate your muscles, combined with heat. It is very relaxing like a massage (and Blue Cross/Blue Shield covers this). Then Dr. Gappa instructs you how to position yourself, and in a few short minutes he does the adjustments, which can be intimidating at first because of the sound they make, but they are not painful, and so far they really have seemed to help. I have now had 4 adjustments done by Dr. Gappa; after the first 2 adjustments I noticed that I am rarely feeling the sharp, shooting back pains anymore. This is a relief because all day at my job I carry ladders on my back and go up and down them while treading on uneven ground, and having unpredictable back pains could severely impact my job performance. Other things I like about the Complete Care of Colorado office is that the hours are flexible. The office is open (I believe) from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., so I don't need to take leave from work to get in. I also don't have to schedule my appointments weeks ahead of time to get in. And usually when I go in there, I am waiting for less than 10 minutes before seeing the next person who takes care of me; it goes pretty quickly. They get you in and out while providing quality care. I used to go to Owl Creek Medical as my main provider but am going to switch to Complete Care of Colorado. It is nice to go to a doctor's office where all the staff members seem to genuinely care and treat you as though you as a valuable individual. I have been very impressed with the friendliness, knowledge, and efficiency of the staff; the flexibility of the office hours; and the versatility and quality of the care provided by Complete Care of Colorado and Dr. Gappa. I feel I was lucky in finding this place; it is difficult to find doctor's offices that meet all your needs. I recommend Complete Care of Colorado and Dr. Gappa to anyone with persistent pain or any other medical issues.

Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. They had quite a few interesting magazines. Everyone in my community knows that Jeffrey Gappa, D.C. is the absolute best in the field. Jeffrey Gappa, D.C. went above and beyond what they told me they could do for me. I was totally impressed.
