Dr Pressley understands my condition, the causes and how to relieve my symptoms. I can not say the same for any other doctor that I have seen... M.D., Chiropractor or Osteopath.

Dr. Pressley's techniques of deep tissue massage, electromyostimulation and chiropractic adjustment are extremely helpful in controlling my pain.

Dr Pressley has an understanding of human physiology that most health professionals just can't grasp.

I highly recommend him if you have been diagnosed with Bursitis, Tennis elbow, Golfer's elbow, Carpal Tunnel, Fibromialgia... or any other chronic pain for that matter.

If you want to truly cure a chiropractic ailment, then Dr. Pressley is the man to see. I went to Dr. Pressleys office from a friend referral who noted that he treated stuntmen, boxers, and martial artists. But Dr. Pressley also treats kids, women, and people of all physical size and frame. I have a teen daughter who had back problems and after seeing him, she is going to live a long life with a good posture. My wife had a lower back ailment and she also doesn't suffer from it anymore after being treated by Dr. Pressley. I had a hip injury that had been with me for years and never knew it until Dr. Pressley looked at me and recognized almost immediately what was the cause and remedy for my ailments. He has a strong knowledge of the human body and treats not just the immediate symptoms, but also the long term causes of the problems in the first place. Sometimes a body ache is like a roof leak; you see it in one place, but the leak is coming from another place. Dr. Pressley has a very reasonable fee given the amount of therapy you can get for it; you do get a lot of bang for your buck. You could easily pay twice the amount somewhere else to get the same amount of treatment from someone else, but it may not work there. I pay it out of pocket even though I probably could get something from insurance, but its far more important for me to feel as good as I do with his therapy than to be in pain and hindered in my everyday life. I teach martial arts at a local tae kwon do studio and have recommended Dr. Pressley to numerous other people there who have had different types of ailments that are mostly completely unrelated to martial arts, but are injuries they've had for years. My injuries, along with many people I've referred, were from everyday functions, like doing the laundry the wrong way or lifting heavy items or kids at just the wrong angle. Those kinds of injuries we all get, and Dr. Pressley is the man to see if you want to cure those injuries. Don't let someone operate on you without seeing him first; he probably will save you alot of pain.

I've went to Dr Pressley when know one else could help on the advice of a friend years ago - and I've never stopped going. When ever I'm in pain - I head directly to his office and he always seems to know what to do. I'm an ex-professional athlete - I battered and beat my body more that anyone should and now I have to feel the ramifications. I'm glad I've got Pressley around to fix me time and time again. Thanks Doctor!

I have known James Pressley for about 5 years now and in that time he has saved me from a great deal of pain and has helped my body move and feel younger. When I found James I had chronic issues with my lower back and with one of my shoulders. Both of these were a result of sports injuries I suffered in High school so I had dealt with the pain for over 20 years. It took James around 5 minutes of watching me stand and move to diagnose both problem areas and that they were old problems, I beleive his assessment was that both problems were over 10 years old. Needless to say I was very impressed as I had not yet stated why I was there. He then went on to describe his methods and theory about why many other chiropractic adjustments don't seem to last. Everything he said made sense to me and fit my prior experinces with many other chiropractors. I felt noticably better when I walked out of our first meeting and it was a world of difference after my 3rd visit. Money well spent let me tell you.
James is a true human body mechanic. He knows how the body is supposed to work and has, in my opinion, the best methods for getting it back to where it should be once you have a problem. If you have a back or skeletal problem and are serious about getting better; there is no better place to go than to James Pressley in Toluca Lake CA.

Dr. James Pressley is so much more than a Chiropractor he more like a body mechanic. Making a true diagnosis and treating the problem. Why, because he is incredibly knowledgeable and will actually tell you, sometimes at great length what is wrong with you. He's not making a fortune like a neurosurgeon but he actually provides much more than some high paid cut'em and fuse'em surgeon. He's an expert in low back pain, shoulder realignment, knee pain, neck issues and really all parts of the body. Sometimes people don't get it that it takes some deep tissue work to get things going and this may get some upset or dissatisfied with Dr. Pressley. But for the 12 years I've known him, he's been nothing but professional and has treated me with utmost respect. I'm a professional athlete who has gone to over 50 different Chiropractors over the years and Dr. Pressley will always standout as the best.

I had back and leg pain which wasn't always in the same spot, I was limping, and also my legs could not be touched without hurting. Prior to getting treated by Dr. Pressley my back problem was about a year old, though I had had it intermittently before that. The leg-touch problem I had had for over 20 years. I am now pain-free, and my legs do not hurt when touched -- plus my calves are actually smaller so I feel I can wear dresses again. This all was accomplished by Dr. Pressley who treated me 3 times a week, and then once a week toward the end of treatment. I went for a total of 20 visits. I kept going despite the fact his technique can be painful when being done -- though as I got better, the treatments stopped hurting. Dr. Pressley said that when you don't feel anything when he presses, that is when you know you are recovered. The chronic pain did not totally leave my back until after the series of treatments was over -- though I may have been impeding my recovery by wearing 4 pairs of sandals that had been worn unevenly due to my limp. I felt much better in the autumn when I stopped wearing them and got new shoes.

I kept going for treatment because I knew Dr. Pressley had helped my son. My son had a series of treatments about six years ago. He had been unable to progress in tae kwon do -- he was a first degree red belt, and he wanted to get his black belt. One of the other students at the dojo, in his oral essay at his black belt testing, gave credit to his chiropractor in helping him overcome his physical problems that stood in the way of his accomplishing the difficult techniques. I found out he had gone to Dr. Pressley, who also treats a lot of movie stunt people. I made an appointment for my son, and we discovered that he had quite a lot to be fixed. He even had to stay off martial arts for a month. When he went back to the dojo, he was normal and able to do the work. He got his black belt.

I don't usually write reviews, but I am so grateful for the treatment that my son and I received from Dr. Pressley that I feel I owe it to him and also to other people who are missing out on his skill. Furthermore I recommended Dr. Pressley to someone who looked up a negative review on this website, and she almost did not go. When I reassured her, she did go and her chronic back pain was relieved by Dr. Pressley in just one visit. Our problems are all different, and need different amounts treatment. Also, we need to not wear badly worn shoes afterward.

It is true that Dr. Pressley talks a lot while he works and does an ongoing "informercial" for his techniques -- most of which he came up with himself. He may try too hard to convince people about what he does because patients are skeptics. He said he used to work with a more upscale practice with surgeons -- he eventually shared his reasons with me for the change from where he worked in the past. It actually had to to with other circumstances in his life, and it made sense. He does keep selling after you have "already bought" because I think he has had patients give up before they were fixed. I know he feels that people do not realize that his way of approaching problems could save knee surgery and back surgery. After our experiences, I believe he can do this. He eliminates inflammation through his pressure techniques. He has an excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and he can explain why what he is doing works. He is superior to any other chiropractor either my son or I have visited. He has such a feel for what is wrong that x-rays don't seem necessary. I think he is sincere and wants to do good.

Finally, I just find it hard to believe Dr. Pressley would engage in any inappropriate behavior. He does need direct access to the upper and lower back and, in my case, also my legs. He provides hospital gowns, and I did not have to remove my pants. Trousers do need to be loosened to get to the lower back, or one can wear sweat pants to make it easier. He conducts himself like a professional doctor -- which he is. His receptionist is very pleasant and easy to deal with. I always got my paperwork for insurance at the end of the month. I have allergies, and the air never bothered me in his office.

I really am physically a new person from this treatment. I thought I was going to be stuck with my debilitating problem for the rest of my life. And now it has been almost three months since my last visit, and I really feel I have a new body. I wore high heels all day yesterday at a wedding, was even able to dance, and I am just fine today. I have been meaning to write on Dr. Pressley's behalf -- how well I feel today just inspired me do it.

I have never, ever experienced such unprofessionalism. This blowhard talks non-stop about his chiropractic achievements of days passed, the celebrities he once worked on and how he knows more and charges less than any other chiropractor in the U.S. (according to him). He's no spring chicken either, so If he knew so much and was so excellent, how come it was so easy to get an appointment the same day I called?! When face down, I asked him to give me some warning before he started poking around and went to work on my lower back and glutes. He scoffed and then constantly insulted me from then on, saying in a sarcastic manner, "Oh, I'm gonna raise your shirt now." Or "Oh, I'm gonna put my finger here." When I was face up and could obviously see his hands, he would remark, "Oh, I'm gonna touch your neck now." When I politely asked him to stop insulting me, he continued, saying I was asking for it because I was being 'ridiculous'. I was shocked and amazed by his lack of professionalism, care and courtesy. His self-righteous attitude is off the charts. While I was paying the receptionist and waiting for my receipt, I could hear him in the next room with the patient following me, spouting off about what had happened with me, which I'm sure that poor patient endured non-stop for the entire 30 minute session. The receptionist stated, "There's never a dull moment here."
