Dr. Carroll and his team are excellent at their work and here is why:
His nurses are polite and helpful and get you in the office as quickly as possible. His assistant Patrick is a gem - he takes the time to explain what he is doing - why and what the hopeful outcomes will be - and he laughs at my silly quips. Really nice, knowledgeable and helpful.
Dr. Carroll is a expert at his "craft" I know that when I see him I will be treated like I'm his favorite patient: with kindness - respect - treatment options - and very good outcomes. He takes time to explain what and why my thumbs are so kooky painful - what we can do the fix/help the problem and makes the treatment -with what seems to be a 10 inch needle (!) seem like a pin prick. And I feel better.
Sometimes the wait is longer than I would like - HOWEVER - I know its because he is giving all of his patients the time, care and medical care they need. Really good practice and docs.
Dr. Carroll took amazing care of our son after he fell at school and broke his elbow. Our son is autistic and while pretty high functioning, he can have difficulties meeting with new people, having others handle his body to examine him, and socially interacting with adults in an appropriate way. Dr. Carroll was very understanding and calm. He focused more on our son's injury and less on his inability to interact with people. He answered all of our son's odd questions in a serious manner and was very congenial with us as well. He was patient and we never felt rushed. We were provided all of the notes that we would need for school activities without having to ask. Making appointments and rescheduling was very easy. We would definitely see him again and recommend him to others.
Dr. Carroll is very concerned with patient outcome. He is clearly highly competent. One of the best parts of the interaction for a patient is that Dr. Carroll is always on time!
Doctor Carroll has treated me for three issues: arthritis of the CMC, trigger-finger, and shoulder pain. In every instance I found his treatment to be superior in that he communicates the state of the issue and possible treatments very well. He listens well and is empathetic.
Received treatment of tendonitis and arthritis on thumb after receiving sub-par care from another provider Dr Carroll listened, respected what I had to say, and prescribed a conservative course of care that left open more invasive paths should they become necessary.
I saw Dr. Carroll for a nasty case of golfer's elbow. He's smart and pragmatic and communicates and listens very well. It isn't often that a doctor in the US will sit still long enough to hear what the patient has to say about his or her condition. Great doctor, highly recommended.
Dr. Carroll is fantastic! I totally trusted him and he didn't let me down. My broken thumb is healed now and I would definitely go back to him. He was kind, thorough and patient. He is a leader in his field.
Dr. Carroll is very knowledgeable, very easy to communicate with, and very thorough. I would recommend Dr. Carroll very highly to any of my friends who might need his particular specialty.
After a year of elbow pain, physical therapy and visits to other Doctors, Dr. Carroll resolved my elbow pain.. He has a very kind, gentle bedside manor.
