Life takes you by surprise in so many ways. Unfortunately it can hit you like a ton of bricks. I wasn't sure how to get out from under the weight, the heaviness, all causing such unhealthy physical and emotional stress. I knew I needed professional advice. I needed a therapist ready to get to the heart of my personal battles. Conquering these battles was my quest! After a few short months, Brook Houchen was the perfect fit. She gets to the point with brilliant advice, guiding you in the absolute correct direction. I took the time for myself and I am healing. Some people spend many years in therapy, trying to figure it out. Trust me when I tell you this ..she will find the answers for you and give you the tools you need to succeed. Be ready to get your life back in order. You will ! Believe ! Listen and follow through! If I can do it, anyone can! Brook truly cares about her patients. I was impressed that when i called and told her I wanted to schedule an appointment with her, she asked me if it was an emergency and even offered to stay late to see me. When I saw her, she genuinely listened, and tried to help me make a treatment plan that wohld help me find solutions. She was clear, direct, and very compassionate. I have seen another therapist that kept me coming for months on end, and she would just listen and not say much or guide me on how to make changes. Brook helped me recognize what I could control and change, which was me, and how to apply the tools and skills she taught me to help me change my life. She gave me homework regularly, and asked me to practice skills I learned with her. She CHANGED MY LIFE. I am so grateful that she cares so much about her patients. This is not just her "job", she takes her patient's best needs to heart. I find it laughable some of the obviously fale reviews on here. If you want to make changes, go see her. If you want to stay stuck, then fine. If you want to blame others for you not getting better, go ahead, but I know that she gives her ALL to her patient's and cares with all of her heart. I haven't needed to see her in over a year. Thank you for the EXCELLENT CARE. Bless you.

They try not to, but sometimes it happens.

Sometimes, they should allow for more time in between appointments

Brook is fantastic. She is an excellent listener. Her insights are "spot on." She is a great therapist, and I would recommend her to anyone who needs counseling or insight into life's challenges.

Not at all! I had to schedule an appointment for absolutely everything!

Brook is bright, insightful and forthright. Her approach helped me see my own reality if a new healthy light that I had not been able to grasp onto before. (I had previously been to a therapist) I trust her completely and would not hesitate to go to her for counsel again. I know it is trite to say she really cares BUT, she really really cares.
