I rescued a puppy from an animal shelter almost a month ago. She hasn't been spayed, so i was going to have her spayed there. I called around and they were the cheapest place. I was told that it would be about $100 total to get her spayed when i called. I live in mingo junction, ohio, so it was about a 40 minute drive, but it was the cheapest. I made my way up there today, to sit in the waiting room for twenty minutes, then spent another twenty minutes in the office. I then got to see the doctor for about five minutes, got a couple shots and was told i could go to the receptionist desk now. Cost me 97 dollars for THIS visit, and have to schedule for the surgery that will cost another $112-$120. WHAT?! Thats more than double i was quoted for this procedure. The only saving grace was the friendly and professional manner displayed by the doctor. The rest of the staff made me feel like I was wasting their time.

They were incredible. They consoled me and even gave me a hug.

Have gone here for years. The vets are different, and the experience will be different depending upon which one you see. One of the women vets is pushy about selling products and actually put down items that I can purchase (cheaper) online as not being safe for my pet. They do not have Saturday or evening hours, so difficult to get to the office for reguar exams. They are compassionate about end-of-life decisions for older pets. The examining rooms at their office were clean and free of odor. I can tell they really strive to keep their office looking and smelling nice.

I brought my Jack Russell in for an infection. The staff and vets are wonderful. He did not improve with the first med, and on his 2nd appt they ASKED if they could do some blood work. I was impressed that they explained that it was not critical to do labs, but it may make his treatment easier. Of course, I had the labs done. He was better quickly. What really impressed me was they did some thyroid labs and he needs thyroid meds now. What a difference in his shedding! I don't know how they suspected thyroid, as he is the classic hyper JR. Also, the med is very inexpensive. I recommend them!
