My dog was not the only that Dr Scalan harmed -

Dr Scanlon performed 2 cruciate repairs on my dogs knee. For the first surgery in her medical notes it states her Caudal Cruciate Ligament (PCL) was torn and removed along with her Cranial Cruciate Ligament (ACL). For the 2nd surgery he reported that a portion of her meniscus was removed (I was unable to read his writing). At 5 months post op she started having problems again with her knee. Dr Scanlon recommended a 3rd exploratory surgery, so instead I brought her for a 2nd opinion with Dr Stephen Levine an orthopedic specialist. He found her knee was completely unstable. So did a 3rd repair. Dr Levine was surprised to find her PCL was completely intact and perfectly normal. He also found that the portion of the meniscus that was suppose to be removed was still intact and completley crushed.

Since Dr Scanlons medical notes were grossly inaccurate not even explaining what was going on with my dog. I do not and would not let him touch any of my animals ever again. If he can not keep his medical records straight to the point that he is saying he removed the body parts that he did not it makes me concerned that he is makeing other bigger mistakes. I consider this one huge. I'm not really concerned about my dog but I'm concerned about the other dog who's PCL was removed. Now if that dog every has problems with its knee it will lead Dr Scanlon or any other vet down the wrong path to helping it. I'm very disappointed in Dr Scanlon, keeping proper medical records is the most basic and most important function of veterinary medicine

Yes, they need to clean or sterilize their facility more

Not very well. I had to really look for it before I found it.

Absolutely not. I had no idea what my veterinarian said to me.
