I first visited Cathie Platt after the death of my husband. My first visit was at least 20 years ago. Over the years, I have used her services many times. She is one of the most caring counselors I have ever been to. Cathie provides her clients with "cognitive tools" for healing. Over the years, I have also referred a number of friends and family to Cathie, who have been equally pleased with Kathy's professional help. Cathie is very flexible with her scheduling and is a kind and generous person.

I've worked with Cathie off and on for twenty years. She's always been inciteful and seemed to know what I needed at any given time. I especially appreciate her guided meditations. They always reveal things that I'd never considered but make perfect sense. She's helped me deal with major life-changing events from moving from NYC to Charlottesville, closing of a business, trust issues and the death of my mother. The energy balancing work helped immensely as I was undergoing chemotherapy last year. I've recommended her to several people over the years.

Cathie changed my life. I have been to multiple therapists but will never go to another one after seeing her. I have never been given such individual, specialized attention and I always felt that Cathie was "my" person to go to for things. If you're looking for a true healer, someone full of compassion and love, then Cathie is your person. I encourage anyone at all interested in self-realization and in increasing their self-love to go see her.

Cathie works from her home, which is a welcoming and safe place. There is no waiting room, and I have never crossed paths with another client even though I spent many years working with her.

Cathie is both gentle and strong, so she can help people do the work they want to do. Real work takes real effort, and it can be hard to do by yourself. Cathie may push you, but she is never angry or agressive - she's a partner in the process and is always on your side. I think of her as my rock-climbing or cave-exploring buddy - someone who can help me get to the next level, even if it's scary.
