Three generations have used this veterinary clinic, I started at 17 yrs old.
Now I am 54 yrs. I am trying to be very fair because I have had wonderful treatment over the years with the staff and different vets. My daughter had her dog neutered the stitches broke this happens I understand this. We called the vet and received the answering service they would not take our name nor contact the vet i couldnt leave any message, called back and was told they couldn't disturb him because he would get angry. This time we insisted. They told us to take him to another vet, the answering service not the vet. Upset not knowing what was wrong with the dog we did just that. The dogs stitches has ripped out. And the dog was bruised badly from the surgery. This happens on large dogs the bruising. The stitches being ripped out could have happened for several reasons. My daughter insisted she watched the dog carefully but didn't use the cone, but we also caught one of the staff lying. She said he had checked the dog before he left which was thirty minutes before my daughter picked him up. She then changed the story to he checked him as soon as my daughter got there to pick her dog up. The vet didn't ever reurn my call my daughters call nor did a staff member. . She called him and he wouldn't speak to her. The staff member which I had never met before was hostil, aggressive and confrontional. My daughter asked to speak to another staff member (Melissa). Or someone else. She had been up all night with the dog. The staff member said she was in charge, he wouldnt tske her call. Even through I had been there to take her dog to the emergency vet and her phone calls back and forth I did not hear the conversation. She asked if I would speak to the vet for her. We went into the vet's office and I spoke to Melissa. She told me the vet had left. As I was trying to explain what happened the other staff member jumped in yelling and screaming, she was very aggressive and angry. It escalated into a argument between my husband and the staff member, until I got him not to say another word, she was constantly jumping in and yelling while I speaking to Melissa and I asked Melissa that maybe she shouldn't be involved because it would escalate the problem. Melissa calmly explained their side, which I understood why they saw it this way. Because of the way it was handled I felt the best way was to speak to the vet and work this out in a rational manner with the vet included and without the staff member that was aggressive. How we had been patrons there are three generations never had a problem before so why the hostility? Why a business we had loved and referred many friends and family wouldn't address this with us in a calm manner. This business which I would have told anyone at anytime they would get the best service has changed. Customer service by their staff member was very unprofessional to say the least. People that have pets are often upset and confused when problems happen and they do happen. Why would they have a aggressive middle aged adult handle the problem that it is apparent she has a anger problem herself and she wasn't the best choice? Melissa on the other hand is a shining star. Se is calm and rational and explained why they saw it the way they did. I was told not to be surprised if the vet wouldn't call either of us back. I am surprised. I am surprised if problems do happen they would be able to deal with clients and calm them down so they can explain it to them. And I am surprised they would have a irrational staff member handle the problem when they could have someone else handle it. I surprised the vet didn't call back. I am surprised the answering service had such a low opinion of the vet and unprofessional way they handled a emergency call. I am very disappointed, confused and honestly hurt. We have used this clinic and counted on the vet and staff members. They have been with from new puppies to old age and death of our much loved animals. I have no idea what happened to the vet I loved and adored. It is more than disappointed it is loss of a old friend. No after this because sometimes there are problems I would never take a animal back.

They are very caring of each animal. Doc is excellent with pets. Plays and pets them before getting on to exams etc. He tries to make them as compfortable as possible. His assistants all seem pleasant and love animals. The walting area is small and in an older building, but the care and prices charged are excellent. The area is kept clean and neat. I would reccomend them to anyone looking for a good vet at affordable prices.
