The staff are very friendly and the time it takes to be seen is fairly minimal which is much appreciated as I don't like sitting in the waiting room for 15+ minutes. Holly in financial is very informative regarding what to expect pre-operatively (written education was also given) as well as to the cost. This is where my positive remarks end.

I was told by Dr. Trevisani to take my Ativan an hour prior to my wisdom teeth extraction (done) and that when I arrived I would be given IV medication. He said when I became "silly", he would know it was time to administer oral anesthetic. The expected healing time was approximately 3 days.

What actually happened: Upon arrival, I was escorted into the surgical suite where I was asked to sit and lay back. IV access was established and a medicine provided. The nurse did not identify herself or the medicine/dose she was giving me. A few minutes later, she gave me a second dose. Before I knew it, Dr. Trevisani was injecting another medicine into my gums (again, I wasn't told what it was). It hurt like h*$@ and I groaned loudly. Though I stayed awake through the entire procedure, I could not move my limbs. I could hear the crackling while the teeth were being removed and I was crying from the pain. At one point I even yelled out in agony to which I remember distinctly Dr. Trevisani responding "Now [my name], you have to let me finish. Lets get through this." Remember what I said about being seen quickly??? Well, if you've ever met this Dr. it because he speaks like a carsalesman. Fast...and it became overwhelmingly apparent to me during this procedure that he also works this way as well. When the extraction was complete, the nurses escorted me out the backdoor where my husband was waiting. He reports to me that he gave the nurses a "WHat went wrong?" face because I looked so miserable and before he could say a word, one of the nurses said, "She's crying because she can't talk." Does anyone see whats wrong with that statement??? How does she know that's whats wrong if I couldn't talk?? and who cries over not being able to talk?? I was in severe pain and I had paid for sedation. I took Lortab for 16 days and lost 3 days of work. When I finally returned, several of the other nurses I work with told me that my experience was NOT normal and when they had the same exact procedure done, they had felt nothing. I called August 8th to speak to Dr. Trevisani. I was told he was late to the office due to a flat tire and I would hear back. It is now the 29th - three weeks later - and I've not heard a word! I paid for sedation and what I got was torture!
