I took half day off from work and reached the clinic only to find it was closed. After making several calls to the answering service about 45 mins later Dr Murphy called me to explain that there was a terrible mixup and I should come down to another clinic to see him some distance away. I got into the car and drove to the other clinic as directed. After filling out the forms and paying the copay, I was informed that only a nurse would see me since Dr Murphy was not available. I was told that if I wanted to see him I should reschedule. I was also told that the copay would also not be refunded immediately and I would have to wait for a check in the mail.
It is clear that Dr Murphy has no respect for other peoples time. He is very unprofessional. Rather than sending me on another wild goose chase around the city, I wish he just had the decency of telling the truth that he had screwed up. It is scary that a medical doctor would show such unprofessionalism.

Personalized Patient Care---THINK AGAIN! Nothing is further from the truth! It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach the doctor. I have been calling to find out my test results for a MONTH, literally trying to speak to Dr. Murphy, but he was never available or out of the office. Then they scheduled a time for me to call, so that I for sure can catch him in the office....Well, wrong again- he was gone. The office stuff just tells you they will forward the message and then... NOBODY ever calls, until you call them again. As a patient I felt that I was playing unpleasant "cat and a mouse game".... I gave up completely...Then on my next visit for an emergency rash 2 months later, I addressed the issue and Dr. Murphy pretended he had no idea and he just never got the message and even questioned me like a school girl:"What IS my cell phone number?", which I was given by the receptionist Johanna after my numerous calls and when I called that "cell phone" number, there was the answering machine right away telling you that Dr.Murphy is not available, please leave a message. I left a message and ...you guessed it: no phone call! So on that visit 2 months later he promised it will never happen again and told me that he will call me ASAP as tests become available...AND you guessed it!: he never called. He will give you many excuses, but really when someone claims PERSONALIZED PATIENT CARE= please, give me a brake! The more appropriate name would be "DON'T CARE PATIENT CARE"....At least don't claim what you cannot deliver! So the last time I have seen him on Monday...no phone call EVER since... Wouldn't you get frustrated SECOND time around playing this game, when your own health is at stake? So I called them about 5 times on Friday (5 days later...mind you: I have called every day to check, but he was either unavailable or not in the office..) and finally he called late Friday just to insult me, told me to take medication, told me that he doesn't have to discuss test results with me, that he has right to fire me as a client and that he will send my test results to me and let somebody else explain them to me! Oh, and he also told me if I needed help, I had to go to Emergency Room!!! Then he hang up! Thank you Personalized, I mean "DON'T CARE" care doctor:-) So, I am left just where I was: don't know what my test results are and what I should do. Who cares if I have to worry all weekend, until I get a copy of test results to see another doctor. He certainly doesn't care- still don't know what was the point of his call...Most likely a power trip...Well more power to him! Staff tries to be friendly, but are not professional half of the time; you can see it's just another job for them... They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. The office was easy enough to find. Since when quality medicine is a luxury? Why do we, patients, allow doctors like these even exist? If he wants to carry a title of a Dr. just to satisfy his ego and to be financially well off, then doctors like him as smart as they might be, should NOT be dealing with people!!! Period! If however he took the Oath of Hippocrates about which he so loudly talks about on his blog..., then be a PATIENT ADVOCATE/ a doctor first, not an ignorant entrepreneur, who tries to make a name for himself! And just if after all, this doctor still wants to be entrepreneur first, make God help him to remember the recipe for success in business: "Client is always right!"
