Their advanced and sophisticated equipment was like none I've ever seen before. I was very impressed with how high tech everything in their office was. They were absolutely amazing and make others in the same field look like beginners. They were one of the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern, they were always happy to help me. Not only did I find a parking spot right away, but I knew my car was safe because the spots were designated and close to the entrance.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Geller for about 10 years. Last summer we moved to Florida but we were very reluctant to switch to another ophtalmologist. Luckily, we were able to see him for an annual check-up while we were visiting in Virginia. As always, he was very professional and trustworthy.

Our experience with Dr. Geller and Dr. Dressler was disastrous! We called Dr. Dressler’s office for an appointment and were assigned to Dr. Geller instead. My husband walked in complaining of a minor eye pain. Dr. Geller, after a hasty (like three seconds) examination, said he couldn’t see anything. Despite that, he prescribed two medications (without specifying what they were or were supposed to treat). One of them proved to be a steroid, which masked the signs and “fueled the flames” of a developing fungal corneal ulcer. We subsequently learned that the literature is very clear about the danger of prescribing this medication if there is not a clear diagnosis. Dr. Geller was rude and argumentative to the point that we debated even going back for a return visit.

On the next visit only three weeks later Dr. Geller identified a serious corneal ulcer in the left eye which he insisted had not been there earlier. He was clearly upset. Our life since then has consisted of almost daily visits to a corneal specialist, hourly drops (day and night), and expensive medications especially compounded at hospitals and overnight shipped from California.

If only we had trusted our instincts. WITHIN THREE MONTHS OF DR. GELLER’S “I DON’T SEE ANYTHING”, MY HUSBAND HAD TO HAVE AN EMERGENCY CORNEAL TRANSPLANT. Our corneal specialist has attributed the severe ulcer to the steroid Dr. Geller prescribed. We keep thinking, “if only we had gone to another ophthalmologist!” A perhaps minor irritation turned into a major threat to our lives, and my husband’s vision and well-being. BE WARNED – DON’T GO THERE!
