The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. Everyone in my community knows that they are the absolute best in the field. As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make me feel special and appreciated.

My kids have been seeing Dr. Porter and staff since the birth of our first child back in 2003. They are awesome, caring and patient and really get to know you as the parent and the children.

My children absolutely love John Porter, MD and as parents we could not have had a better doctor. Though we reside in Allen, it was definitely worth the trip into Richardson to have his expert care for them. When we first started looking for pediatricians we looked around in Allen and Plano but to no avail until we visited Doctor Porter. They are so kid-friendly and act like my child's best friend. This doctor has great bedside manner. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. One of the first things I noticed about this business was the level of detail and attention to make the building handicap-accessible. Even the bathrooms were designed to be accessible with doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and grab bars in the stalls. You could tell they really made an effort to accommodate people with all different needs. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. I don't think I have ever been put on hold here for a long time and am so impressed with how quickly all of my questions are answered. There is nothing worse than having an infant that becomes sick during the night and you as new parents don't know what to do so you contact your pediatrician hoping that they will contact you by the morning, but with Dr. Porter it is different in that he is very prompt in returning your call even in the middle of the night. There's nothing worse than having to wait on hold for a half an hour just to get someone to talk to you. Dr. Porter's staff have always been courteous and prompt in their actions. My youngest is now to old for Dr. Porter and we as a family will miss them. I highly recommend Dr. John Porter and his staff.
