Two years ago I was a patient of Dr. Hassans and I ended up miscarrying at 10 weeks. During one of my visits that pregnancy, my husband and I witnessed two of her front desk girls in the middle of a nasty petty cat fight. I guess they didn't know we were still in the lobby.

I am now pregnant again, and decided to return to Dr. Hassan.

My husbands company was acquired by another company so there was a glitche in confirming my coverage. At 13 weeks pregnant, I started spotting severly. Having been through a miscarriage before, I was anxious to be seen immediately.

Upon my arrival I was welcomed by the staff not even opening the glass door so I could hand them the insurance information. When they researched my insurance, it came back as though I was not covered.

My husband (who was at work at the time) had to call in, confirm everything, then explain that I was actually covered to the front desk staff.

When the nurse hungup with my husband, I asked her "what now" she said "according to me, you're not covered so you can't be seen" I told her that this wasn't a regular check up, I am 13 weeks and spotting and she gave me a so what look and repeated to me that I, according to her was not covered.

She then asked if my premium was being taken out of his check, I advised her it was, I am covered CAN I BE SEEN??

After the humiliation and embarrassment of it all, I ended up walking out and will never return to that office.

Conclusively, Dr. Hassan is pretty good at what she does... But her staff seems to be a bunch of middle aged women who utterly hate their jobs. I would NOT recommend her, as dealing with her staff is enough to send someone away.
