I felt a little pressured to buy products, but it wasn't overbearing. Still, I wish they had been a little more professional. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. I was given a polite greeting when I walked in. It was nice to be acknowledged. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly. I was a patient of Dr. Stroud's for about 8 yrs. I suffer from psoriasis and about 4 yrs ago I found my self having pain issues. Dr. Stroud put me on opiod pain relievers which helped tremendiously. About a year ago I was sick and I took Hycodin cough syrup. It was in my urine so she pretty much" kicked me out". I was extremely hurt by this because the Hycodin was perscribed by Dr. Conway who is another doctor at the practice and with her being my Doctor for 8 yrs. I really thought we had a better relationship then we did. I understand fully that she has to do her job and monitor her patients who are on opiods but the way it was handled was very hurtful! She put me on this medication ( I never had any opiods prior to Dr. Stroud ) Was on it for 4 yrs and she just completely cut me off.I was also on 9 mgs of xanax a day. She didn't wein me off just completely cut me off. I trusted her with my care and to do that to a patient w/o investigating or just looking through my records to see that Dr. Conaway did in fact prescribe the Hycodin was so unprofessional. The withdrawls I endured were dreadful. I didn't know any better. I put my care in her hands. She was my doctor and had been for a long time and I trusted her. They made me feel like I did something wrong when in fact I did not!! I will say I am a strong believer in everything happens for a reason and I can say now that I am glad it happened because I have a wonderful doctor now!! Who does actually care about his patients. When I would go to see Dr. Stroud it was a 5 min visit she would just write me prescriptions and send me on my way. That was it. My doctor now doesn't do that. When I first went to his office he immediately ordered bloodwork as well as had me get a lung function test. I found out I had really low vitamin d levels, my triglycerides were high and through the lung function test showed that I have asthma. I can't remember the last time Dr. Stroud had me get bloodwork done!! I have been with my current doctor now for about 8 mos and have had bloodwork 3x's. Everything happens for a reason and I am so glad that I actually found a Doctor who cares for my overall health and not just writing me prescriptions and sending me out the door!! What Doctor Stroud did was unacceptable. However, I will take some responsibility for my own ignorance but now I know better!!
