I have been going to Dr. Toporcer for more than a decade because I have always liked and trusted her, but my most recent visit will be my last. My appointment was scheduled for 3 PM. The staff now recommends that you call ahead and check that the office is running on time. I called at 2:30 and was told they were running on time, at most only 15 minutes behind schedule. I arrived at 3:00 and was not called back into the office until 4:15. Dr. Toporcer did not come in until 4:45 and she did not apologize or even acknowledge that she was late. If this were a one-time occurrence, I would excuse it but it has happened repeatedly over the last decade. There are signs in the reception area explaining that some patients require more care than expected or that the new healthcare system is slowing the process down and they appreciate your patience. She can make whatever excuses she wants, but the fact is that she schedules far too many patients in one day. I encountered six patients in the reception area during my 75-minute wait. Dr. Toporcer is a smart and capable physician, but if you want to be treated with respect and courtesy, I advise you to go elsewhere.

Dr. Toporcer is wonderful. She is caring, always takes time with an appointment and provided me with spectacular care when I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. Not just medical care, either. She provided personal care that went far beyond what I would have expected. She also caught a problem that could have so easily been missed by a less skilled physician and probably saved my life. It's tough to get an appointment only b/c she's in such demand.

Yes, the office was well organized and taken care of

Not very well. I had to really look for it before I found it.

They always made sure that I wasn't in any pain. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have.
