This doctor, Richard Bloomfield, does not care about his patients. I could write alot of things in here about his bedside manner. He was my mothers doctor at the nursing home in Newport, nc. From there, he wrote her a prescription for a wheelchair, when we took her out of there to come live with me. After a doctor writes a prescription, there is a paper that medicaid expects them to fill out, simple yes or no questions, one page ,and this doctor refused to follow up. We had her wheelchair for 8 months before we found out. The nurse there, Carol, seemed delighted to give me the hateful message that Dr. Bloomfield just simply didnt want to be bothered with the paperwork, and refuses to speak to us about it any further. This makes no sense at all. This leaves us owing for the 8 months that we had moms wheelchair , because medicaid cant pay anything on it without that paper filled out. This Doctor will have paperwork, probably even more than he bargained for because today I am turning him in to the state medical board for violation of a medical act, they tell me he will have to respond, with lots of paperwork..........so why couldn't he have just filled out her simple medicaid paper to avoid all of this.....soooo irresponsible on his part. This is not a good doctor at all. I called his office again this evening, and got the same response, so I will just have to follow through with the state medical board, against him.

They had a couple of interesting magazines, but their selection wasn't very impressive. They were easy to reach in an emergency. When I called they answered right away and I was so relieved to hear a friendly voice. Their office was one of the quietest, Dr office I have visited. I was able to relax very easily. I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. The Staff was warm and friendly and I really like Dr. Petzele's proffessional manor and concern for me and my health.

They are nice but WAY overbooked and the staff is clearly overworked. They should really allow for more time in between appointments if they want to keep any business. I felt very rushed. They barely spent two minutes with me and almost completely ignored me. I was happy that I got in for a follow-up appointment because it helped a lot. However, had I not made the appointment, there never would have been one. It would've been nice if they would have recommended one.
