Dr. Weinfeld is a typical alpha personality who doesn't believe in being human enough to sympathize with a layperson. My interpreter agreed after the visit that I had been right to express concerns and that he shut me down without good reason. He literally threatened to leave the exam room if I didn't stop "complaining" despite my constant assurance that I was merely approaching the situation as "pre-op" and "post-op," not "pre-accident" and "post-accident," and the truth is that I had several legitimate reasons to distrust my old doctors, and one of my old doctors was also FURIOUS with the way some others handled my situation, and I was lied to and some issues left untreated, as evidenced by the paperwork and X-rays.

I do not recommend Dr. Weinfeld to patients who have continued complications and need things explained rather than insults. HOWEVER, I recommend him as a surgeon and since he did a fine job with explaining what was wrong, setting up the operation, and all the follow-up work has been flawless and quick without complaint, my only advice is that if you have a scar you should ask for a bandage prior to your ACE bandage or you will end up with scabs pulled off and more scarring than necessary as well as an infection/risk thereof.

He's been perfectly pleasant to deal with since the operation and thinks I've miraculously turned into a sunny personality. I always was--I was just approaching the problem I had as someone who knew her foot was different before and after her first operation and had witnessed doctors at the same hospital furious with each other and with such conflicting opinions and incorrect procedures (my cast was removed after one week by a resident, which infuriated my doctors but was treated as a cover-up by the hospital and led to this very consultation and operation). I wasn't complaining; I had for months been voicing concerns that were shunned and shushed, and was finally in such monstrous pain I had to get his opinion.
