As a nurse I worked with Dr. Onyebeke at Southside hopsital. It was his professionalism and medical expertise toward his patients that guided me to him as my own provider. He is one of the most professional and caring providers I have ever had the pleasure of both working with and having as my own.

They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have. They always made sure that I wasn't in any pain. This is one of the friendliest and most welcoming offices I've ever visited. They put in the extra effort to make me feel valued and important.

This was the first OB that I visited for pre-natal care and upon this visit, I decided to go with another OB practitioner. Upon walking up to the building, I noticed that there was garbage right outside the back door, including bags with the medical hazard symbol. It looked like it had been there a little while since one of the bags was torn open. The building itself was a bit run down and unkempt. The receptionists when I walked up to the front desk didn't even offer a smile or hello, they just gave me the peliminary paperwork to fill out. The garbage next to the water cooler was overflowing onto the floor and the waiting room carpet was in desperate need of vaccuming. I didn't even get to meet Dr. Onyebeke, I was seen by possibly another doctor, by the name of Renee. She is the only reason why I would have gone back to that practice. She was very sweet, courteous, and professional. The exam room itself had some trash on the floor and overall just didn't look very clean. After my exam, I went to the receptionist to make my next appointment. I waited in front of the receptionist for a few minutes while she didn't even look up at me. I realized that she was looking at purses on the internet. That was the final straw for me. I asked her if I could make my next appt. Without a smile or kind word, she made my appointment. I thanked her and left. A couple of days later, I cancelled my appointments with Dr. Onyebeke's practice and went with another doctor. I've never had this sort of experience with any doctor practice. It's a shame I didn't even get to meet Dr. Onyebeke.
