There's been quite a few times where I've been on my way to my appointment, and they've called me to postpone it. It's not all the time, but it's still annoying. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. They told me a little bit about my treatments' risks and benefits, but I still didn't feel like I knew as much as I wanted to know. They always take the time to listen to me. I know they really care about me and what I have to say. They were very polite and helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed.

They always made sure that I wasn't in any pain. I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. They were so nice and professional and even called me to remind me about my upcoming appointment.

I am pregnant and needed a cleaning. My gums were bleeding due to the pregnancy. Unfortuanately I could not get a cleaning with my regular dentist. I decided to go to Yorktown because I could get a quick appointment. When I called I made it known that I was pregnant and just wanted a cleaning and I did not want X rays done. I was assured that this was ok and I just needed a form from my doc saying that I was pregnant (it states you can't have certain procedures or medications). I drove over an hour to get to the office, filled out lots of forms, and waited. When I was finally taken into the room to get my cleaning, the dentist comes in and says he won't do the cleaning because he doesn't feel comfortable doing it without X rays. I tell him that I had X rays done at my last appointment. He says that this is not good enough. I tell him that my teeth were fine and my previous dentist can probably fax over the X rays. He tells me that I would need to get the X rays done today to get a cleaning and he won't do the cleaning without them since it is a liabilty. I again make it clear that I don't even need my teeth checked and I just want a cleaning. Still no good. I understand this if that is their procedure. THis is not ok when a patient is assured that no X rays are needed over the phone. I made it clear to the dentist that the receptionist said that I did not need X rays. His explanation was that they really don't know anything. I told him that this is not acceptable and left angry and in tears. So I drove 2 hours there and back and wasted time waiting. I also changed my plans for the day to fit in the cleaning. I wasted 3 hours of my day. Besides all that, the employees don't seem professional and the place doesn't seem nice, clean, and up to date.
