I have been a patient of Dr. Melnick for 25 years and I can honestly say that while a visit to the dentist is not anyone's favorite way to spend an afternoon, Dr. Melnick and his staff make it as pleasant and painless as humanly possible. Dr. Melnick is a top quality dentist whose number one priority is the excellent work that he does and the comfort of his patients. If you're looking for a dentist who won't cut corners and a genuinely friendly guy, Dr. Melnick is definitely the dentist for you.
In response to the dstrock review. This is the letter I sent him after receiving no response from him for 5 months. Daniel
First of all, thank you for finally getting in touch.
Next....I apologize for any harsh or negative tone I conveyed with my voice message. It can be very frustrating when we are unable to reach a patient; we had no way to reach you; you had moved and you had a balance.
Also, I am truly sorry for any inconvenience concerning that last appointment you had. I was aware of the time constraint you were under at the time. Unfortunately, I was confronted with a pressing dental emergency which needed my attention. Obviously, if I was aware of the situation prior to my beginning treatment on you at that session, we would have rescheduled. I can not always predict how long some treatment will take, and occasionally we can run into situations like that....in this case, the work that we performed on you was more extensive than we had planned for. There was more decay on those two teeth than we had expected. So, due to the emergency and the extent of the work we did on you, it took more time. I have to do the best work I can do, so if it takes more time, so be it. I am sure you would agree that you do not want me to rush and do inferior work. You had already had work done by me, so you were aware of the quality of work and that I normally kept on schedule. I don't seem to hear you complaining about the work. I am sorry, though, that you had your plans screwed up.
Concerning your statement referring to me as "arrogant individuals that think that there time is the only time that matters". I don't think so. After 30 years of practice, you are the only person to refer to me as arrogant. Enough said about that.
And, finally, about the bill. Yes, we all like to get paid for the work we do. You are the one who has the control over how I get paid. I completed the work in January, and I haven't heard from you since. If you were upset you certainly could have contacted us. You chose not to. However you choose to pay for services rendered is up to you. Now that you finally responded, I am glad to know that you will not ignore us and take care of your responsibility.
Thank you,

Daniel received excellent dental work....which he does not deny..anybody can say anything on these sites, but I have my 30 year reputation as an excellent and caring dentist and I will not have some patient who has some other issues trying to ruin it. Thank you.
