Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. I've already told my friends and family about the fantastic experience I had there. They definitely care about patient comfort because they have the best waiting room chairs I've ever seen, I felt like I was floating on a cloud. I could have easily dozed off while waiting to see the ophthalmologist.

This doctor is a miracle and I've seen enough docs to know the difference. In Nov 2007, I called his office in Ponchatoula, LA and complained of a headache and blindness in the right eye. I was given an appointment for minutes later. Dr. Couvillion got on the phone with 3 other doctors and the hospital and had me admitted within an hour. He found that the blindness was due to a tumor in my brain the size of a grapefruit. Since that time, I have seen him numerous times. He's also the doctor that discovered I needed to shunt a year later. He is the most personable, respectful, helpful and fun doctor I've been associated with. You will love him.
I also know of many cases in the area that was misdiagnosed and eyes were saved (literally) by him.
