Dr. Mulkey is an amazing plastic surgeon. He has magical hands. He is passionate about what he does and that's what counts to me most. He explained in extreme detail of every question I asked him. He never looked annoyed by my questions and I asked a lot of questions. He seemed getting excited to answer my questions. My questions were related to my treatment of facial reconstruction surgery after I had crushed as well as fractured the joints of my tripod bone or zygomaticomaxillary complex. CT scan had not shown that the bone was crushed except the fracture of the joints. He found it during the surgery after making the incisions and accessing the bones to put plates. Amazing person to talk to about medical science. Mason city is fortunate to have him. Six weeks after the surgery, I was able to eat using both sides of the mouth and the bones had joined properly.

I was impressed with the professional caring of staff and Dr. Mulkey. All aspects pre-surgery were explained very thoroughly, including what to expect during/after the surgery as well as projected end results. The surgery went very well. I did experience fluid retention the day after, which I brought to attention of Dr. Mulkey's nurse; she consulted with Dr. Mulkey, who expedited an appointment with Urology. Healing from the eye surgery has progressed quite well. Right eye results are greater than I expected; left eye was more extreme, with results good but not quite as good as I expected. The total experience was very good.

I saw Dr Mulkey for a consultation regarding a skin treatment.He was very professional and helpful in explaining my options and how the treatment would be done.There was no pressure to go forward-the decision was left up to me as to when the care would be completed. I always get the most professional treatment and advise from Dr. Mulkey. He has helped me with my migraine headaches more than any other doctor. The receptionists and the nurses are very helpful and friendly. It is always a pleasant experience to visit the office even though the shots hurt a bit.

I was found to have a skin area on my neck that was a melanoma cancer, Dr Mulkey removed the area and did a skin flap to cover the area involved. The surgery went with out problems and recovery has been fast. Dr Mulkey explained everything that was going to be done before and has kept me up to date as what I have to do in the future as to watch for any cancer returning.He is very good at what he does and I am very happy that he was my doctor. Thank You Dr Mulkey.

My surgery went very well. The Mason City Surgery Center provides outstanding care. Dr. Mulkey did a great job explaining my surgery to me, and the results are great.
