My initial impression of Dr. Warren and his practice was very positive. He and his staff seemed polite. It was during my second visit to Dr. Warren’s dentistry that I realized him and his staff are dishonest. I had taken my little sister for her biannual cleaning. I was asked whether I wanted to get sealants for my little sister. On our last visit, they had previously asked us and I declined. This time the receptionist and the dental aide both said that my sister only needed sealants on 4 teeth only. The cost would be about $10 per tooth. I reasoned to myself that I can afford to spend $40 towards my little sister. After the sealants were placed, the receptionist changed her story; she said that they told her it was going to be 4 teeth but actually sealants were placed on 8 teeth, so I owed $80!!!! I was stunned to say the least. I am a professional student, in other words, I am broke!!! Never in a million years would I agree to spent $80 on sealants. I told the receptionist I would pay the $40. I paid it and left. My mother, feeling that we were being hassled, called Dr. Warren’s practice. The receptionist denied that she said it was only 4 teeth that needed sealants. My mother is in the process of filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. To perform a service that was not requested and then expect payment for that unrequested service is wrong. I know the economy is tough but hassling money from patients is wrong!
