Dr. Steil is sooo great. I've only had one appointment but I left super excited, just for her demeanor. When you meet with her, she is very warm and welcoming, and then you can tell her mind starts to go into overdrive of all the ways she can help you and fix your 'problems'. I was only expecting her to address the 'main' one I was in for, but she took the time to address anything that was listed. My experience with doctors, even ones I think are great, is that they zero-in on the one 'main' problem. I have had very good dermatologists in the past, with great demeanors, Dr. Steil somehow managed to stand out in that there was flexibility in approaches--she had several ideas of what to do and how to treat, and was providing me with options. I didn't feel as if it was 'her way or the 'highway' which I have sometimes felt with other doctors. The main thing this signaled to me was that she wasn't just trying to get a 'move-on', get to the next patient quickly, etc. For this, I greatly appreciated her service. I know some people say doctors don't care, but I really left her office feeling she cared a lot. Also, I had a mole shaved off and it seems she did it very discreetly, that it will heal very nicely. I'd love to be the person that doesn't care about aesthetic stuff, but I do--so I appreciated this factor--that she doesn't just have the people skills, but also the brain (for sure) and physical/ technical skills as well. Finally, my advice to patients is to take note, because she explains things or procedures or products more than other doctors, which I really appreciate, but even though I was listening intently, I found I did forget some of the useful information I was given and wanted to remember for my sake (most doctors don't try to tell you what each of the stuff is for really). She gives handouts of the most important stuff, (like pictures of moles that are healthy/ not healthy) makes a great teacher 'docere'--root meaning of doctor. I don't think she could be better!

I wasn't too impressed with their level of service. Dr. Stiel is pleasant but the staff is terrible. For the second time when I arrived ahead of time for an appoinment I am greeted by the staff with "what was your name"? No hello no good morning just "what was your name". I didn't know that I had expired. I would have gone back to Dr Stiel but I don't need to be insulted by some clerk who can't even get the appointment date correct leaving me traveling two hours and finding that the clerk had the appoinment date wrong but insisted she was right. Some really bad attitudes here !!!.
I am now looking for another doctor

They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance. I couldn't believe how knowledgeable and well-informed the staff was. They were able to answer all my questions, except the ones they needed to have their boss's input on. It was great to be able to talk to such a skilled staff. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan.
