I find "BULLIEDANDEMBARRASED"comments to be very far-fetched. My child is 7 years old and has been a patient of Dr. Verwest since he was a year old. Dr. Verwest and his office manager have always been very kind and compassionate to my son and myself and yes, he also has a state funded program for insurance. I have known the office manager personally for 9 years and know for a fact she would never refer to any child or person for that matter as a "welfare baby". I completely understand why Dr. Verwest would need to stop taking new patients with Medicaid as he is the only pediatric dentist in Lee County who has enough compassion to accept the state funded programs. He is only one person and can only do so much to help. Let's try to respect his policies and if we are going to post comments which affect a person's reputation, let's make sure we are being honest and truthful about our comments.

Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. ANY dentist that has a policy where parents cannot accompany their children in the procedure room is unsafe and does not have the parent & child's best interests in mind. Although I understand some children are fine w/o their parents, some are not & adjustments should be made accordingly.in the world we live in, you can never be too careful with who is with your child when you aren't around. Also, the office mgr did not really listen to what was being expressed to her. She had her mind made up that what I was telling her did not occur.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. I found the office, but only because I had simple, very clear directions. I wish it had been easier to locate. THE DOCTOR IS THE PROBLEM HERE, MEAN AND KIND OF RUDE AND MY KIDS DIDNT LIKE HIM AT ALL, THEY HAVE POLICY THAT PARENTS CAN NOT COME WITH THE KIDS TO SIT IN THE BACK.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR SO MANY BETTER DENTIST AVAILABLE HERE.
