Fantastic office! There office was recommended by another parent, they were so right, The office staff was helpfull and everyone was very reassuring making my son's dental visit a surprising success. He has had negative dental experiences in that past, but seemed to be quite comfortable at this office. I am thankfull for finding this office.

I reecently took my kids to see Dr. Jay and was pleasantly surprised at the patience and compassion the entire office displayed to both my children. I was nervous due to a prior unsuccessful dental visit my kids had at a different office. The assistant seemed very caring and Dr. Jay was both reassuring and thorough.

Great Dentist! The staff was compassionate and very patient with my grandson. The front desk was helpful to get him scheduled for his next cleaning and the hygenist gave me a full report to give to mom and also called her at work to give her an update on the visit. I would reccommend Dr. J and his office to anyone with kids needing a good solid dentist.

Oh my. I COMPLETELY agtee with the last review. We must have had the same hygienist. I really, really liked the office and the dentist. My child liked him too. But then, we had a very bad experience where I was talked down to by two hygienists for insisting on going back in the exam area with my preschool aged child. Totally unacceptable. Every parent has the RIGHT to go back with their child EVERY visit. If a doctor's office denies it - run, don't walk - far, far away from their office. Don't let them tell you differently. They said "we understand your concerns but cannot accommodate you back in the exam area every time. We don't have THE ROOM back there. It wouldn't be fair to other parents." This was a poor, poor excuse. Other parents' choices are not my concern. My responsibility as a parent to my child is to look after his best interests - in this case, in a medical environment. Never dreamed in looking for my child's dentist I'd have to ask if I could be present during the exam. Hello? Anyone follow the Dr. Bradley child abuse case in downstate Delaware? It is shameful that any doctor's office would discourage a parent from sitting in on their child's exam. What are they thinking? Besides this, the hygienist was rude and demeaning to my young child. He did very well through x-rays, cleaning, flossing and the doctor's exam. He refused the second half of a fluoride treatment because he didn't like the taste of the fluoride. It was his first time ever doing this. The hygienist told him he would get no prizes because he didn't let her finish. The nerve! Is this the child psychology they teach pediatric professionals? Lucky for her, I WAS back in the exam area with my son, so I could assure him and move things along so the hygienist could finish. I am truly blown away. Shame, shame, shame.

I have a nine year old child who has been terrified of going to the dentist. He has always had mouth problems. A friend recommended Dr. Jay. She was so right - Dr. Jay is wonderful! The office people are friendly and helpful. The assistants are fun and reassuring to my son and myself. Dr, Jay even gets my son to laugh! Dr. Jay is very patient and makes sure we understand everything. He really is an excellent dentist. I know why he was recommended and I recommend him to my friends now.

Dr Jay is a good dentist. But, unfortunately his staff that deal directly with your children are not. My child was traumatized by the treatment he received there. They do not let you go back with your child. His assistants are mean and abrasive and I would make sure that you can be with your child at ALL times. A year later, My son still has nightmares and still talks about what they said and did to him. My son has a problem with his gag reflex and all he got from his visit was that the staff was angry with him because he couldn't comply. The assistant even sarcastically said to me "Its just a little act". When I spoke to Dr Jay about his assistant tactics and comments he said they do not reward "bad behavior". I didnt realize a gag reflex and fear of dentist is a bad behavior. I left in the middle of the procedure. We have since took him to AI Dupont Hospital and they were wonderful! He is still terrified of Denist. But, They are soooo patient with him and are building up his trust.
