My visit with Dr. Mercado was absoultly terrible. I have never been treated so badly by a Dr. in my life. I went in to find out if i was feeling side affects from my brith control pill or if it was possible that i was about 2 weeks pregnant. When i called to set the appointment i was informed that their urine tests would not detect if i was that early, and that i would need blood work done. When i got there i was not listened to at all. Even worse he actually told me to shush, and rised his voice when i was trying to tell him i was taking an antibiotic, around the time i think i may have conceived. He told me since my urine test came back negative ( Which i knew it would from what the nurse had alrdeay told me) I wasnt, and if I took my pill everyday it didnt matter . He also then continued to insult me by telling me in a raised voice and with an attitude" WOMEN DONT HAVE SIDE AFFECTS TO BIRTH CONTROL !" At this point due to my emotional state i was already crying, when he decided to perform an exam. I asked him if it was necessary seeing has i just had one in march by another dr. ? He looked at me and again with attitude said " WELL I DONT KNOW YOU!" When he touched me it hurt, but he never asked me if it did. I left even more confused, and never had blood work done. I would never recommend him to anyone and i will be filing a complaint with the medical borad.
