I advise that you check Marc Umlas MD malpractice record before you see him. He was fined 250,000 for the death of a patient in a malpractice case. his office is filthy, he is awful man

I recently relocated to Miami Beach from Orlando Florida and knew I would soon need a good Orthopedic Surgeon fro my knee replacement which was long over due. Like most people in my position I have tried everything else other than surgery and have put it off as long as I could.
Although I have not fully recovered from my full knee replacement surgery I feel compelled to share my experience so far with Dr. Umlas and his team. From the first visit to his office to my post operation and rehabilitation is has has been a warm and professional experience.His meticulous attention to detail and pursuit of excellence is very apparent. He is truly an expert with a smile.He truly cares about his patients and makes you feel part of the family right from the very start. My operation went off without a glitch and my recovery is ahead of schedule. If you want a rapid recovery for knee or hip replacement surgery, with a no-nonsense, professional surgeon, then this is the doctor to see. The office is very helpful providing assistance with complicated health insurance policies, and everyone there works hard and does a good job.

Mt Sinai has excellent surgical and rehab facilities as well. I hope to never have another knee replacement. But I will not hesitate to visit this surgeon and this hospital for any future health care, if needed.
