My 3 year old son had a large kidney stone. Dr. Keating was THOROUGH when explaining test results, plans of action, all the options, risks, and hopeful outcomes and was willing to answer any questions. He even drew diagrams of the area that required surgery and explained the entire process. He was so honest and even told us that one of the options he presented to us would best be done by a different doctor. We chose one of the other options and used him. I had NO DOUBTS that my son was in very competent hands. He's a godly man and made me feel completely secure leaving my baby in his care. Either his staff or he checked up on my son regularly via phone post surgery. He has amazing bedside manner with children. Confident and assuring without being "corny" or "disney-like". We had a great experience with him and I highly recommend him. Also, in doing my research, we considered taking our son to Atlanta where there are some amazing Pediatric Urologists. They reviewed my son's case and actually recommended Dr. Keating to do the work.
