He is very difficult to reach after he does your surgery. If you need follow up care and meds you must contact him 48 to 72 hours beforehand to announce your need. This is not noted to you until you are in need of meds, his staff does not return calls, he only works 4 days per week, and he changes his care plans at the whim of the person or company who asks him about such care without letting the patient know or consulting them. I am fortunately not his patient but a close relative who lives with me is and I can tell you this concern for the patient is beyond lacking and his staff responds likewise. They have a 48 hour response time for meds and I can tell you that is a very minimume time. This last time which was the third or so request after surgery, we requested a script for pain meds, and were told to have the pharmacy return something on tuesday they would respond with a pain med ....here it is on friday and you guessed it no response. Larson missed a break during the surgery which another dr found and then Larson wrote a report that his patient did not show signs of swelling after he made that same patient wait with a leg with three breaks, a plate he had put in, and a cast he had requsted remove wait over an hour after cast removal to be seen. The leg at that time had been elevated for over an hour then stated the patient was reporting information he did not see. This Dr is a QUACK. I fortunately am not the patient but a caretaker of a fairly young person who is his patient. His expertese is listed as the hand. The appendage he worked on here is the leg.....he has done nothing to instill a sense of comfort and knowledge. He has consistantly changed his plan of care depending on who asked without ever telling his patient. He provided to the patient's care provider a statement of what he did in surgery listing a procecdure he never did. The lack of performance of this procedure was validated by a follow up dr. Thank GOD I AM Not the Patient,,,, my concern is that my young nephew is and his ability to have normal function of his limb after this is in question. If I personally were paying this person he would definately would not be worth what he charges. He does not respond to his patients... he could care less if they are in pain...he requires a 3 day response for medication refills... only works monday thru thursday....weekends do not count and the on call dr can't respond to his patients requests for pain meds...if you dont call on Monday you cant expect a response before the following monay...if you call on tuesday ....god you are in limbo...Wens and beyond I hope you have a high pain tollerance. Again I am no his patient but the caregiver to the person who has gone though this. I have heard the agony of the pain involved .... I have seen the lack of concern by the DR and his staff and I saw the response from DR Larson when he was called on missing a break in the leg of this person......He totally missed it but thankfully my loved one had someone who was required to moniter his care.... Dr Larson is deficient in patient skills, undrstanding, and responding to patient needs. It appears he wants the money he is able to generate from surgery and the rest be damned....you call him he never calls back..but dont forget to PAY
