My first visit was the longest of the 3 I had with him. He was rushed and I had to make him stop and answer my questions. He was all business but a pretty good dr. The staff in the back was not friendly. They all acted as if they didn't want to be there. The biggest problem I had was with the billing dept. They sent many letters and called several times about a $5 bill they claimed I owed. They submitted the paperwork wrong (all in my hubby's name as patient) and expect me to just pay it. The insurance company is fighting this for me. May only be $5 but it's the principle of it. I was told by the admin office that I should just "pay the $5 to them and fight it out with the insurance company myself." That was wrong. They told me my copay went up and I had to pay it. That was wrong too cause it didn't go up and I have the proof. I wish I could actually let Dr Halvorson know this myself but a dr won't usually respond to a patient. I feel he needs to know how his staff is doing the patients. I would not recommend this office because if the insurance mess but the dr himself is pretty good at what he does, just not real people friendly.

No, they really weren't very helpful

The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. Whatever cologne they were wearing was one of the best I've ever smelled. It made my experience that much more enjoyable. This place is so fantastic about involving patients in their treatment method. They were curious about any input I had and took everything I had to say to heart.

I had a follow-up appointment, but I scheduled it.
