I left Dr. Bannen after multiple concerns. Protocol for wearing gloves was not followed by the staff when drawing my blood. My labs were sent to an outside lab that my insurance did not pay for and I was left with a large bill. I was not informed of this ahead of time. More importantly, Mayo Clinic protocol for managing my problem was not considered or followed. It is worth the travel to go to a larger hospital with a state of the art staff. The physician, who I see, is current, well published and respected in her field. I don't need a bone marrow every year as Dr. Bannen suggested, rather appropriate labs are monitored for changes.
