I have been going to Dr. Porcase for a number of years. I have called them to refill my blood pressure meds with no problem and he has prescribed me Nicotrol to quit smoking a few years ago. I called to get the Nicotrol refilled last Friday because i was anxious to quit smoking. The person said they would call it into the Walgreens and took the pharmacy number. I told her I would like to get a physical next Friday, she said Ok and that the rx would be called in. Later that day, no prescription so I called, the recording said do not leave message because it takes 24-48 hours to process. No problem, 24 hours later still nothing, 48 hours still nothing so I went to a doc in the box and got the rx.
Today Dr. Porcase's office called and said my appt is Friday, I said I cancelled because they did not fill rx. She said they would not until I was seen by doctor. I said that is not what was told to me last friday and why would the person take the pharmacy information from me to send the rx? She said and I quote "you should have know you needed to see the doctor since it has been a year". I SHOULD KNOW?????? I called asked and was told it would be done. I told her that and she said I was wrong. Everytime I go there it is a major delay and I will not even go into what I overheard while I was there last year because no one would believe it, and it is not an issue that frames the service that is very poor.
No one should be talked to like this woman talked to me. I am not a doctor and therefore that is why I call them, her statement was insulting and rude. NEVER GO TO THIS DOCTOR on principle, you are not a customer/patient, just a pain in the backside to the Doctor's staff
