They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. I love how attentive they are here. Even when notified that they have a personal phone call, they always wait to take it later. Their full attention is always on me and it makes me feel special. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. Everyone in my community knows that they are the absolute best in the field.

Never have I been to an office, any office, with such incompetent reception. Several years ago when I first added this practice to my insurance, it took months before I could even speak to a receptionist to schedule an appointment because they never answered the phone or returned my phone calls when I left a message. When I could get through, I was on hold for so long I eventually gave up.

In addition, in the past year I have had not one, nor two, but three dental appointments rescheduled by their office. With children and work, one can imagine how inconvenient this becomes.

More recently, my young daughter had a very painful tooth and it took two weeks for them to give her an appointment. On that day, her, my husband, and three year old son waited an hour and a half in the office for her to be seen. When they finally saw her, it was to tell us she had a filling fall out and needed to make yet another appointment (as opposed to fixing it then and there). That next appointment was today August 21st at 11:20am. I know this as I had a card from their office with this very information. Strangely, I received no "reminder" phone call so I decided to call to confirm this appointment myself. To my great surprise and irritation, I was told she did not have an appointment today even though my appointment card said otherwise. My daughter upon hearing this conversation immediately starts balling because her tooth hurts so bad and she has waited so long already. After expressing my anger at the situation, the "receptionist" thankfully got us in later in the afternoon rescheduling some other person like had been done numerous times to me.

Okay so it took an hour and a half to get her tooth filled and I was prepared for that. What was most upsetting is that they did not even acknowledge my very legitimate complaints. Instead I was told it was a "fluke" that I "really didn't have an appointment today." Even more, they questioned that my daughter's situation was, indeed, an emergency.

Really, Aberdeen Family Dentistry, get it together! Your reception is ruining your practice or at least I hope it would considering the all around incompetence because all in all the dentist are pretty good.
