I have seen Dr. Koh for severe lower back pain and sciatic nerve pain in my leg, after 4 visits the pain is gone, he has also given me some good dietary advise, this is my first time doing acupuncture, I am impressed with the results, I would definitely recommend Dr. Koh

I had been suffering from excrutiating jaw pain and headaches (TMJ) for several weeks. I had been to Dr. Koh several years earlier for migraines. After a short time, the migraines all but left. After having suffered with the TMJ symptoms for a couple of weeks, I called Dr. Koh and he saw me immediately. I have been going to him now for a couple of months and the symptoms have completely resolved. He is kind and compassionate and I recommend him highly for all types of pain management.

I started seeing Dr Koh for a shoulder issue, there was an improvement with every visit. I am on week 5, I am able to raise my arm & I have better range of motion with my neck. He was highly recommended by many people & I can see why. It's been a very relaxing experience.

In 2014 I visited Dr Koh for sciatica in my leg. After first treatment, the pain lessened and within 6 weeks the pain was gone and has not returned. Same happened with a pinched nerve in neck 6 months ago. I go monthly for what I call a "tune up"! Nice demeanor, too

I had been on an acid re-flux medicine for 3 years before I started seeing Dr. Koh. After 1 week of treatment and his direction on what to eat and what not to eat, I came off the medicine. I have been off the medicine for 5 weeks with little to no symptoms and steady improvement. I am very pleased with the treatments and happy that I no longer have to be taking medicine every day. My GI issues have improved and the rest of my body is feeling very good as well.

After two years of leg discomfort and pain with little help from stretching, aquatic exercise, physical therapy and massage, I opted for a cortisone shot from a local pain specialty doctor. Unfortunately rather than relieving the pain, he’d apparently affected a nerve and now the pain was much, much worse. After six more months of never-ending, burning pain I sought out the care of Dr. Koh, remembering that I’d had good results from him years ago for another issue, but hadn’t continued the maintenance phase.

Hoping for quick relief, but knowing that sometimes with long-term pain you must be patient, the first seven visits brought relaxation and some well being. Dr. Koh counseled for rest and proper diet which seemed to make a difference in my life, but not the pain. Then before the eighth visit, I felt remarkably better. By the twelfth visit, I am now 80% pain free and enjoying increased movement. A few more visits and I expect to be even better, and then on to maintenance, which I will surely continue as I respect its importance.

Dr. Koh has a gentle and kind manner and so wants to help the quality of his patients’ lives. His dedication to his work is obvious, and he is so pleased when a patient speaks of less pain and better health.

Dr. Koh has treated me for nerve pain and swelling in my foot, as well as, neck and head pain associated with spinal stenosis and a degenerated disc. Dr. Koh dramatically lessened the nerve pain and all of the swelling after the first treatment. My headaches and neck pain were completely gone after my first treatment. I cannot say enough about what a caring and skilled doctor he is. I recommend Dr. Koh to anyone wishing to try acupuncture.

I have spinal stenosis and Dr Koh has helped to greatly reduce pain in my shoulder and arm. He has done wonders where physical therapy did not work. He also helped my mother, she had shoulder pain from rotator cuff deterioration. He treated her and she no longer has any discomfort.

When it comes to dealing with either temporary or chronic pain, Dr. Il Sok Koh is the one to see for acupuncture treatment. As one who suffered excruciating pain caused by spinal stenosis, I readily recommend Dr. Koh in the practice of acupuncture, that form of alternative medicine traditionally practiced in China and subsequently in Korea and Japan and now in Europe and other western countries, including the United States.
My condition generated intense pain in my left buttock and leg when standing more than five minutes or walking any distance. Severe pain was also experienced when sitting on a chair with little or no padding. Driving was out of the question. Riding in a car was tolerable only with the back of the seat positioned as flat as possible. The only relief from pain came by being flat on my back in bed.
Theoretically, spinal surgery might have helped. But given my age (79) and other medical problems, that procedure was not recommended. The orthopedic surgeon prescribed pain medication (Tramadol) and suggested seeing an acupuncturist before taking steps such as epidural steroid injections.
My first visit to Dr. Koh was in early February. After reviewing my CT scan report and asking numerous questions about my health in general and the location of the pain in particular, he told me he could help but that it would take two to three months to experience noticeable results. He counselled patience and stressed the importance of a proper diet and walking every day.
He treated me twice a week during February and March (a total of six weeks) and then once every three weeks. In subtle ways, the reduction in pain became noticeable about the end of March. Gradually the pain in the left groin went away and so did the pain that once shot across the left thigh. The pain in the left buttock and back of that leg was gone by the end of June.
As a preventative-pain program, I continue to see Dr. Koh every three weeks. Thanks to him, the pain is gone. And I'm sure that by continuing with him, the pain will stay away.
