Dr Selby conducts unnecessary procedures and later (his nurse practioner) states they are standard procedures for all physicals at that office, though previous physicals (with a doctor who is no longer practicing with Dr. Selby) did not include these invasive procedures. The procedure (rectal exam) is not warranted for a healthy 22 year old male with no symptons. Dr Selby even stated that the risk for prostate cancer does not occur until late 30s at the very earliest. These exams are not recommended by the medical profession until the age of 50. Interesting that they didn't bill for the rectal exam procedure---since insurance wouldn't cover it at this age. Dr. Selby's office also requires that you come in for an office visit for every minor question-----and if you are on a maintenance prescription, it is very difficult to get that prescribed without another office visit. In addition to the copay they receive from you, they also are able to bill hundreds of dollars to your insurance company for each office visit. Never going back!
I am a patient of both Dr. Selby and Dr. Kaluza. Both DO's are okay.
However, one always need to wait for at least 15 mins before admitting to one of the diagnosis rooms.
Finally, last time, I was attended to by a bad triage nurse (old blonde with tattoo and suntan) who was so rough when she took my body temperature using the ear thermometer. She yanked the thermometer into my ear so hard that it hurt and almost damage my eardrum. Not to mention she had attitude when she asked the screening questions. She's probably the worst nurse I encountered in a few decades. Avoid her like plague !
Otherwise, the other office nursing staff are okay !
