I just got home from an appointment with Dr. Wilcox, who I can say without a doubt is one of the most genuine, caring and concerned doctors I have ever met. I just moved to the suburbs from the city and have quite a few issues with Type 1 diabetes and asthma, and was fairly apprehensive about leaving my Michigan Avenue physician group for a doctor in the 'burbs. I couldn't have been more surprised with the level of professionalism, knowledge and just general caring that Dr. Wilcox displayed in my appointment. I am SO EXCITED to have met a great physician here!!
BTW--I have absolutely no clue what planet anyone writing a negative review about Dr. Wilcox came from. It is impossible for any *normal* person to meet this doctor and not fall in love with him!!!

Very poor communication and follow up skills. After unforeseen surgical complications patient was told "I told you not to get that surgery." Had assistant speak with patient about increasing medication dosage with incorrect information about current dose. Patient had to correct staff about previously prescribed dosage. Did not respond to orthopedic surgeon and physical rehabs request for additional referral. Refused referrals to specialists at the last moment and accused patient of "not caring about (her own) health care". A complaint is currently being filed with Tri-County Physicians about quality of care.
