I was recommended to Dr. Klugg and his nurse practitioner as a new patient. I'm new to Memphis and friend from work said that he accepted my insurance. I attempted to make an appt for my wife who was very sick (temp 104 and vomiting overnight). Dr Moffatt was too busy despite my plea due to the fact that I was a new patient. He couldn't see me until next month - 45 days away. I proceeded to make an appt with his nurse practitioner for the following monday - appt made on Friday afternoon. My wife arrived 30 minutes early and was told to take a seat. Of course in the office all the chairs were taken. By the time a seat became available she was given paperwork to fill out and asked for her co-pay (this was 15 mins after the actual appt time). An hour after the scheduled time she was tired of waiting and decided it wasn't worth all the wait and the packed waiting room so she left after getting her co-pay back. No one said sorry or apologized in her effort to see a new doctor in a new town. Is all of Memphis like this? No wonder this city is spiraling downward. I highly recommend NOT patronizing Dr. Klugg or his nurse practitioner, Anne Moffatt. Not only are they rude but waaay over booked.
