On Tuesday June 19th 2012 at 8:11 I called Joanne Dr. Atkins nurse to have a CT scan of my head/ear. From the beginning of our conversation Joanne did not have a clue as of what was going on and instead of telling the truth she lied. FIRST was the fact that Dr. Atkins had given his approval for surgery to both my wife and myself but she advised both of that we would have to re-schedule another visit with Dr. Atkins. I explained to her time and time again I have already seen Dr. Atkins and he has approved surgery and CT SCAN. After being a first class *itch to both my wife and I she tried to cover up this fact and pass the buck along to the intake person at Florida Hospital Christina (407)-303-4590. At 8:28am I actually had Christina the intake nurse at Florida Hopsital on the other line as Jonanne advised me that she had already spoken to Christina and set the CT scan up. I then clicked back to Christina whom was still on hold and Christina advised me that she had not heard anything from Joanne or anyone from Dr, Atkins office and she said that Joananne has pulled this type of blame game before. "its par for the course for her" VERY BAD
I eventually had my surgery and has another run in with unhappy Joanne. I left a voice message on Dr. Atkins VM because I was experiencing some pain in my jaw. In the mean time the surgery center called me for a post operation check and I advised them of the swelling in my jaw and they immediately contacted Dr. Atkins office and spoke with Joanne whom denied both my wife and I ever leaving a voice message. I would not recommend Dr. Atkins because of his nurse Joanne. We caught her in numerous out right lies and made our experiences with Dr. Atkins awful. To boot I was not even advised from the beginning that I would not have hearing for 4-5 weeks in one ear. Also they forgot to administer the Zofran after surgery which was requested prior to surgery and I was sick the minute I came out of anesthesia. I came out of surgery only to be rushed out my gurney for the next unsuspecting patient.
