Kristin Strybing, Chief Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Neurological Surgery, is a certified family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in neurosurgery. Kristin received her training at the Columbia University School of Nursing and additionally holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Kristin has been a part of Dr. Kaplitt’s practice since he began at Weill Cornell as an attending in 2001.Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Kristin worked as an RN for two years and worked as a bilingual health educator for migrant farmworkers. She has a specialty focus in movement disorders and device-related neurosurgery such as spinal cord stimulators, deep brain stimulation, and ventriculoperitoneal shunts.
