Dr Widmer underwent medical training at the Texas A&M College of Medicine and then went on to Mayo Clinic to receive all of his training in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional/structural cardiology. He works in the clinic, cardiac ICU, and cardiac catheterization laboratory treating coronary artery disease, valve disease, ASK/FHL, and pulmonary hypertension and has a particular expertise and research interest in patients with microvascular disease.
