I was drawn to orthopedics after becoming an orthopedic patient myself following a bicycling accident. It showed me the value of good orthopedic providers and the improvements you can see in a short time in this field. Before medicine, I had a career in interpersonal faith ministry. This allows me to build personal connections with each of my patients. I take the time to listen to what they need to say, even if at times it is not their primary reason for coming in. I hear their stories and I see where they start from. The small details can help guide the treatment plan we develop. It's an incredible experience to see a patient I have treated come back and say that they "got their life back”.
