Vashisht Sekar, M.B.B.S.,(M.D), DHMSA, MRCSEd Ph.D., FRCSEd(Neuro.Surg) is a University of Florida Assistant Professor of neurosurgery and a neurosurgeon at UF Health in Jacksonville. Dr Sekar received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. He completed a residency in neurological surgery at Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and holds a Ph.D. in cardiovascular medicine from the University of Manchester in Manchester, United Kingdom. He is a diplomate of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries (London) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (the oldest Surgical College in the world).
