Dr Charity H Grannis was born and raised in Houston. After graduating from the DeBakey High School for Health Professions as the salutatorian, she attended the University of Houston, graduating with the highest honors and a double major in Biology and Spanish. While at the University of Houston, she spent a year studying abroad at the University of Alicante in Spain immersing herself in the Spanish language and culture. She is fluent in Spanish.
Dr Grannis attended Baylor College of Medicine for her medical training, graduating with honors. After medical school, Dr Grannis had the privilege of spending a year in The Methodist Hospital's Transitional Year residency program.
