Paola Pergami, MD, is a pediatric neurologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and an Associate Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She specializes in pediatric stroke and rehabilitation. Dr Pergami earned her medical degree from the University of Pavia, Italy, and her PhD from the University of Milan, Italy. She completed her Pediatric Neurology Fellowship at UPMC in Pittsburgh. She works with the International Pediatric Stroke Study (IPSS) to research seizures, inflammation, and treatments for stroke in children.
